OMG!!! Space, service and food were top notch! We were seater timely, our server was out of this world. He was friendly and funny and so easy to talk to. We orders several appetizers and main dishes and everything was very flavorful and presented beautifully! Setting is casual but our waiter make us feel at home and like we are super special guests. Bartender knew what he was doing 100% Thank you for making our evening so special! Will be back!

I was so pleasantly surprised on how much I loved the food here. We ate family style so we could try everything and everything we ordered was sooo delicious. The crispy gnocchi was my favorite and it was so good that I forgot to take a photo!!! But definitely do not skip on it. The gnocchi was fluffy and crispy without being too dense. The flat bread had Calabrian chilis so just the right about of heat and plentiful with the seafood on top. The fennel sausage pasta was so tasty and the pasta cooked perfectly. Service was very attentive. We went on a Friday for lunch and it was busy so make a reservation.

Excellent food and service! The crispy gnocchi are so unique and the best I have ever had. The restaurant is small but very cute ambience, we sat at the bar tonight and the bartender/server was so attentive. We are definitely returning customers!

I had a delicious dinner -food and drinks were amazing What's keeping this meal from being 5-stars is that my husband and I ordered 4 dishes and the pacing was rushed. I told the waitress I was fine having the courses come out as ready as long as they didn't come out all together. So one dish came out within 5 minutes then the remaining three courses came at once. This led to a rushed meal since all courses were served within 20 minutes. On the bright side, I barely finished one cocktail so I saved some money. My husband and I typically have 2-3 drinks and a leisurely wine with our meal. I ate outside so not much ambience. Be sure to let your server know to pace the courses. This has never been an issue at Moody Rooster.

In the mood for MOODY ROOSTER in Westlake Village, CA! We are new to the area and my friend who works in LA highly recommended this spot. She said, "Must try the Crispy Gnocchi!" Okay, let's gooo! On a Thursday evening ~6:15pm, my +1 and I walked in and immediately felt the buzz. The place was packed with a happy crowd! Luckily, we scored a small table for 2, albeit Al fresco around the corner and in the back during sunset. It's a good thing my +1 already had a ball cap and sunnies on. Otherwise we would've declined. Note to self: make a reservation! Smoke & Sour Cocktail - el boho mezcal, lime, hibiscus juice, farm egg white, cherry. Yummy and creative! Had me a bit buzzed by the end of dinner. ;-) We shared the following plates and it was more than enough for 2: Yellow Nectarine Salad - candied pecans, raisins, pink lady apple, goat cheese, green onion, honey mustard vinaigrette. Wonderful! A bright & tasty summer salad. Smoked Eggplant - orange, pickled onions, pistachio brittle, tahini sauce, micro greens. Wow!! Have never tasted anything like it. The flavors were amazing!! Crispy Gnocchi - cherry tomatoes, basil, parmesan fondue. Creamy & savory. Yum! Roasted Half Chicken - bbq spiced sweet potatoes, roasted garlic, thyme. Perfect addition!! Our plates were left spotless; To-go boxes were not necessary. Everything was delicious! I look forward to returning and plan on trying their Green Beans and Shrimp!!

I started off with the octopus appetizer, perfectly crisp and well-rounded - the same can be said for the grilled prawns with a coconut sauce that was to die for. I also had the eggplant appetizer, which was basically a deconstructed baba ghanoush. Absolutely recommend the steak with duck fat potatoes - you can't go wrong with that. Navid is solid behind the bar, except when he's doubling up on duties by working the bar and food expo (calling out orders to the chef). It would be much more appreciated if he could focus on making drinks for the customers sitting at the bar with him over calling out orders to the chefs in the back. In terms of ambiance, it's great for groups. However, during the summer heat, they tend to leave the AC off, which I did not appreciate during my visit. Overall, there's something lacking with the service and the ambiance. However, I would be glad to come back here another day.

A pretty solid restaurant for food and drinks in Westlake Village area. Removing one star because of my clothes always smells leaving this place due to this restaurant is not that big with an open kitchen concept.

I have been interested in trying this restaurant for quite awhile! Its has been on my list of list to experience! And what peaked my interest was the rave reviews and the farm to table concept. I always appreciate restaurants that focus on local ingredients and adapt their menus to what's fresh! And at last, I had the perfect opportunity to experience this restaurant with some dear friends! Best to go people who like to share as the menu has quite a number of items to explore! We started with vegetables: where we opted for a cauliflower dish: normally this would be an item to skip, but at this restaurant I highly recommend this dish. The cauliflower was accompanied by a great sauce that consisted of Greek yogurt, lemon, zatar and more. The flavors were off the chart. We also sampled a flatbread with squash flowers and burrata. The flatbread was good but not great. Not one flavor popped. I would skip this dish. Afterward we had gnocchi with a fondue sauce: this dish was very rich. The flavors of the sauce brought out the taste of the gnocchi . We really enjoyed this dish. After such delightful dishes, we sought a little sweetness, unfortunately nothing jumped off the page. Nether less our bellies were full with such great food and flavors. The freshness was evident. The restaurant also features a great drink menu. The restaurant has quite a list of wines and some specialty cocktails. The menu also has some interesting mock cocktails for non drinkers with fresh fruit juice. I opted for an apricot martini: the drink was perfect. Well balanced! Now I need to explore the rest of the cocktail menu! Throughout our meal we had great service! We appreciated the suggestions on menu choices. I also appreciate information on the dish ingredients. Lastly, it was nice that they sought feedback on why the desert menu did not peak our interest. If you are planning to dine at this restaurant: make reservations in advance. The restaurant is quite small with indoor and outdoor seating. You can make reservations on resy. If you don't see a reservation available, give the restaurant a call. The restaurant filled on a Thursday evening by 5:00pm. Lastly the restaurant is tucked in a strip mall. You will find this restaurant on the end. There is decent size parking lot within the strip mall but I imagine it may fill up with the nice boutique shops are open. Enjoy your meal!

Five stars for excellent food and service! This place lives up to the hype so make sure you secure a reservation. I came in for girls night out and Jonathan provided amazing service. He helped make recommendations along the way and got our food to come out with excellent timing. For starters, we got the crispy gnocchi (delicious), yellowfin tuna tartare (beautiful presentation) and scampi flatbread (delicious) to share. Then, our entree selections we're roasted chicken and brazino to share along with spicy beans. To finish it off, we had olive oil cake and bread pudding (yum!). For drinks we had crystal ball and apricot cocktail. It was nice that they offered a delicious mocktail to sip on and toast with the group. This place is perfect for group settings to share a variety of dishes and eat beautiful, delicious food. I see why everyone comes here and they are turning tables every 2 hours. I'm glad I came and will be back!
